Itty-Bitty Kickers is a specialized 8-10 week clinic style grassroots program designed to cultivate young players by building a soccer foundation beginning as young as age 3. Our Itty-Bitty Program will begin building a positive team culture and consists of soccer activities that will help develop large motor skills, balance, listening, and changing direction through technical skill exercises and free play!
We run two programs a year. One program in the Fall and one in the Spring.
The Spring Recreational Program is a shortened Spring season that begins in March for Ages U6-U12. This is a continuation of the Fall season, so age criteria is the same as the Fall Rec Program. This is a volunteer coach lead program that focuses on small sided game format, which provides more goals and fun-filled action for players. Teams will practice once a week and play games on Saturday on fields in the El Dorado Hills area.
More information about the Spring Recreational Program can be found here.
The Fall Recreational Soccer Program runs from August to November and includes U6-U19 age groups. Players register individually and are placed on volunteer coached teams, that then play other recreational teams on the weekend. This program relies on parent volunteer coaches who seek to create an enjoyable learning experience for soccer players of all skill levels. We expect our coaches to interact positively with all players and promote an environment that is fun-filled and brings out the joy of playing soccer. Coaches trained to introduce age/ability appropriate activities in practice, promote a connection amongst teammates, and provide a fun and safe environment for our players.
Registration opens in April.
More information about the Fall Recreational Program can be found here.
The All Stars event is a fun opportunity to end the Fall Recreational Soccer season on a high!
Rec coaches nominate players to participate. This nomination is for players that have either been standout performers, excelled throughout the season, worked extremely hard to improve, and/or remain engaged and committed throughout the season. All stars are offered training clinics which are delivered by EDHSC Pro Staff & Trainers. After the training clinics, we hold a mini age group Jamboree to celebrate these players and the season's accomplishments.
More information regarding the Recreational Fall All-Stars program can be found here.
Rec Plus is a supplemental training opportunity for our U6-U19 Rec players that are participating in Spring or Fall Recreational Programs. It is an additional one hour weekly session led by our Pro Trainers and delivered by our College/High School Trainers. These will be fun practices which will incorporate invasion/evasion games, small-sided games and mini free play scrimmages.
Our club offers financial assistance for any player that might need it so they can participate in our recreational programs. To request financial assistance to help cover the cost of registration, please complete and submit the Financial Aid Application.
Conduct
Kids are to be respectful of their coach and other players during practices and games.
Kids do not have to be athletes in order to play for the first time, our program aims to build fitness and develop skill.
Parents are to ensure kids have plenty of water and stay hydrated during practice and games.
Snacks may be coordinated by each team and are not to be consumed on Promontory Park fields.
Parents are to review the Heat & Air Quality Policy and although some practices may or may not be cancelled because of weather, it is ultimately up to parents to decide if current conditions are conducive to their player.
